Fees and Appointment Times

Normally an individual therapy session lasts 45 – 60 minutes while 60 – 80 minutes is recommended for couples therapy. Individual therapy sessions are normally 50 minutes unless otherwise agreed. Routinely the fee is €90 – €100 VAT incl. per session while extended sessions are €105 – €120 VAT incl. Lower income, underemployed and unemployed clients find standard therapy fees prohibitive and in such instances substantial discounts can be arranged at the initial consultation. Depending on the presenting issue an agreed amount of sessions can also be agreed when therapeutic goals are identified and a pathway forward planned. The initial consultation/assessment is approximately 50 minutes and normally costs 80€ VAT incl. VAT or Alv in Finland is charged at 25.5%.

Currently due to specific Finnish regulations I am unable to provide KELA or HUSS subsidized psychotherapy. Lower income, Students, unemployed and underemployed people invariably find standard psychotherapy fees probibitive and in such instances substanial discount can easily be arranged.

Due to work and related commitments many people are unable to attend counselling during normal working hours. Therefore evening and weekend appointments can be arranged to accommodate particular individual needs but normally there is a waiting period of 6 – 8 weeks.

When an appointment is scheduled the recipient has 24 hours from the time it is issued to confirm attendance otherwise the appointment will be offered to someone else.

Since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time and space, a minimum of 36 hours notice is required for rescheduling or cancellation. If for any reason a session is canceled less than 36 hours prior, the full fee will be charged.
